 About your Italian Teacher:
Welcome to Your Italian Teacher! My name is Valeria Alessandra Mannoni and I'd love to be your private Italian Teacher.
I've been teaching Italian since 2008, I love my job because it's challenging and rewarding, it allows me to meet many people from different countries and it's fun. I teach Italian to foreigners of any age and background, in person and online, I cooperate with Italian schools and Italian associations.
Italian Teacher qualifications:
I graduated in 1999 in Economics and Management of Tourist Services and in 2006 in Foreign Languages and Literature with a specialization in English-American Literature, then, in 2009, I attended a Master's in Teaching Italian to Foreigners.
Italian Teacher teaching method:
Besides studying a lot and teaching Italian in class, I also travelled for many years and I was a co-worker in a Camphill Community in Ireland, a local representative in Egypt and Spain and a tourist in Thailand, China and the USA. That's how I experienced the feeling of living in a foreign country and learning the language step by step: I know it can sometimes be frustrating, but I'm now growing my 4 years old son bilingual and my effort was really worth it!
I know the importance of personalized teaching and how to make my lessons fun and effective. This is an example of an Italian role play in my class: Italian role play.
I teach Italian both online and in person, that means you might start your Italian lessons online before coming to Italy and keep practicing once you are back home. Besides, my Italian teaching in Italy will include not only traditional classroom lessons, but also outdoor classes following innovative channels: you'll take part in cultural and entertaining activities, such as hiking, trekking, going to the theatre, a concert, an exhibition, a conference, or other local events which interest you, plus other learning options such as shopping at the market or buying a train or bus ticket yourself, yet all in the presence and with the patient support of your Italian teacher.
Finally, you might get involved in social activities with families and friends, such as going for a picnic, cooking, strolling in the town centre and shopping during the sales.
